Cat naps are the order of the day at the Aydın residence.
Mehmet Ali Aydın (87) and his wife of 42 years Sultan (62) have
been childless all these years but they have taken in 15 cats to
remedy this longing for loved ones.
American namesake was more dog-focused.
The Aydın couple made a living from animal breeding for years
but they are now retired. About their cats, Mehmet Ali explained
that "we've given our love to the cats. We have 15 and look after
them like we would our own children. My wife's mother loved
cats and used to feed them by hand all the time. When my wife
goes to milk the cows all the cats follow her and we give them
some of the milk. We spoil them. Whatever we eat, they eat the
same."

On the DRT television channel in Denizli, during Kudret
Çelebioğlu's live news broadcast, a street cat stole the show.
The small cat sauntered into the studio and proceeded to
jump up on Çelebioğlu's desk as he was reporting the news.
DRT has adopted the little cat and named her Hüsniye. As
for host Çelebioğlu, he related that "if I said I wasn't surprised
I'd be lying. But there was no need to panic and the little
creature became my guest on the show. As the winter approaches
we all have to be mindful of the street animals and leave out
food and water for them."
