Complained that the money was burning a hole in his pocket.
In Trabzon, the evening before last, salesman Hasan K. (33) took
154,000 TL (about 50,000 USD) from his work place and stuffed
it into a bag. Hasan then went to a construction site in the Boztepe
neighborhood, took out 94,000 TL and set the money on fire.
Some citizens noticed the incident and alerted police before Hasan
could burn any more of the money. Hasan had a fit at this point and
fainted, upon which he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Later, in his statement to police Hasan explained that "while I was
walking along I had a hallucination. A black shadow suddenly
appeared by my side and said 'this money will burn you.' So I
said 'instead of the money burning me, I'll burn the money.'"
Hasan K. was arrested.
